ABOUT
As an Art Director and Designer, as well as a *painter, my career in Los Angeles has been varied, from being Co-Designer and Art Director of The Workbook for many years, and again briefly as Creative Director for the publication in 2010.
I joined with Craig Butler and John Kosh to form Butler Kosh Brooks, and later with Kosh as partners in Kosh Brooks Design for several years, working primarily in the music industry, creating covers and advertising for recording artists personally as well as for Capitol Records, MCA, and Motown among others.
Afterward, I spent 3 years as Senior Art Director at The MacPhee Group and later,
over 12 years at Dawn Patrol, Inc.
In 2009, I decided to work independently and currently produce Theatrical Key Art and Home Entertainment and Game packaging (as well as non-entertainment related work) for agencies and independent studios.
As a Hands-on Art Director, I’m experienced at creating work from initial sketches,
to photoshoots, photo-illustrated comps and in many instances, final retouching
and finishing.
I am available for freelance, either on-site or from my own studio.
Full time Creative Director/Art Director positions would also be seriously considered.
